General profile of interns and their visa in Denmark

Bixter acts on a legal basis in its recruitment activities by connecting employers in need of well educated, experienced, motivated, and stable workers with young English/German speaking professionals from 27 countries worldwide, who possess relevant work experience and completed relevant education on minimum Bachelor’s degree level.

The Danish Migration Service has developed a visa category for Non-EU nationals as work and residence permit, under the category of “Herdsmen and farm managers”. These regulations allow experienced professionals from Non-EU countries to work in Denmark with extension possibilities for their visas.

This option is intended for professionals with proven relevant experience from 1 year duration, completed university degrees, sufficient English/German level to continue their professional development via work and residence permit in Denmark.

Hereby, Bixter promotes this opportunity to interns, who completed their internship in Europe with outstanding recommendations and to experienced international professionals with the help of international agents in Non-EU countries.

When can you expect your international intern to arrive?

It is important to note that the average waiting period for the arrival of an employee is typically around 1,5 months. This is primarily due to the mandatory visa processing time. Waiting time for work and residence permit remains the same even if an employee applies for the visa from Denmark.

Please note that employees from Non-EU countries aren’t allowed to start working until the appropriate work and residence permit is issued to your place.

As a result, it is crucial for companies to plan ahead and account for this waiting period when organizing their recruitment process. By taking a pragmatic approach and considering the necessary visa processing time, companies can ensure that they are able to receive qualified workers in a timely manner, while also adhering to all relevant regulations and procedures.

Working hours

Employees typically work 37 hours per week, with a possibility to take overtime working hours.
