The Norwegian Migration Service has developed a visa category for Non-EU nationals as work and residence permit, under the category of “Skilled Worker”. These regulations allow experienced professionals  from Non-EU countries to work in Norway with extension possibilities for their visas.

This option is intended for professionals with proven relevant experience from 1 year duration, completed university degrees, sufficient English level to continue their professional development via work and residence permit in Norway.

Hereby, Bixter promotes this opportunity to trainees, who completed their traineeship in Europe with outstanding recommendations and to experienced international professionals with the help of international agents in Non-EU countries.

It is important to note that the average waiting period for the arrival of an employee is typically around 4 months. This is primarily due to the mandatory visa processing time. Waiting time for work and residence permit remains the same even if an employee applies for the visa from Norway.

Please note that employees from Non-EU countries aren’t allowed to start working until the appropriate work and residence permit is issued to your place.

As a result, it is crucial for companies to plan ahead and account for this waiting period when organizing their recruitment process. By taking a pragmatic approach and considering the necessary visa processing time, companies can ensure that they are able to receive qualified workers in a timely manner, while also adhering to all relevant regulations and procedures.

Overtime pay or time off in lieu is typically provided for overtime work. It’s important for the employer to follow rules about maximum working hours, rest breaks, and night work.
